    Biographical Statement

    Jian Pu is a Research Fellow and Academic Associate at UNU-IAS. She also holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at Institute for Future Initiatives, The University of Tokyo. In the past she has worked as an Assistant Professor at Yamagata University, Toyo University, and The University of Tokyo. Dr Pu’s research interests focus on water environment, pollution remediation, environmental resources, and sustainability science. To date, she has contributed to the publication of 31 peer-reviewed papers and four book chapters in esteemed journals and books, including Science of The Total Environment, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Membrane Science, Environmental Pollution, International Journal of Food Microbiology, Pathogens, and Food and Environmental Virology. She is currently actively involved in several research projects pertaining to water quality, health, and microplastics.
