Kavitha joined UNU-IAS Finance as an administrative assistant in July 2021 and she provides administrative support in finance related work and liaising with UNU Centre Administration office in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur. She is from Chennai, India and moved to Japan in 2016, and graduated from Kyushu University with a Master’s degree Japanese Humanities. Prior to joining UNU-IAS, she has worked as an administrative officer in a health insurance project for Below-Poverty-Level residents of the state of Tamilnadu in India where she gained experience in establishment and day-to-day operations of projects in both administration and finance fields, and co-ordination between multiple organisations.
