Ms. Karolina Polanski joined UNU-IAS as a Project Assistant for the Postgraduate Degree and Training Programme in August 2021. Born in Poland and raised in Cologne, Germany, Ms. Polanski has a B.A in “Asian Studies” and a M.A in “Politics of Eastern Asia”. Before joining UNU-IAS she was working as a Coordinator for International Relations at Toyooka City Hall. Prior to that, she held the position of Project Coordinator at the Düsseldorf Office of the Japan External Trade Organization. At the UNU-IAS Postgraduate Degree and Training Programme she serves as the main administrative focal point, dealing with payments and procurement. She also supports the SDG-UP platform in the preparation and implementation of their workshops and webinars.
