  • アグン プラセティオAgung Prasetyo is a Programme Associate for the Biodiversity and Society Programme.

    He has extensive experience in science communication, capacity building and project management. His work spans key areas in sustainability, including education for sustainable development, circular economy and SDGs capacity building, with a growing focus on biodiversity and landscape approaches.

    Prior to joining UNU-IAS, Agung served with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Indonesia, contributing to an SDG-focused project that engaged a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, charities, private sector, NGOs, CSOs and international organizations. In this role, he worked on strategic project coordination and the implementation of programmes aimed at strengthening institutional capacity. Notably, he managed an international partnership with a Japanese company to advance a circular economy programme, including cross-national policy dialogues, training for local leaders and overseeing the management of actionable projects across the country.

    Agung holds a BEd in Geography from Indonesia University of Education, and an MSc in Sustainability from UNU-IAS with two joint diplomas from the University of Tokyo and Sophia University.
