    For many years, Mr. Mitsuo Kojima has managed International Security Investment at several global asset management companies such as Goldman Sachs and Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management. In November 2020, Mitsuo joined Affirmative Investment Management (AIM), an Impact Bonds-dedicated Fixed Income manager, and was appointed as President and Representative Director of AIM Japan. Through his activities at AIM Japan, Mitsuo focuses on promoting and implementing sustainability-themed asset management, such as Green Bonds and Impact Bonds, and aims to realise sustainable societies from an asset management perspective.

    Previously Mitsuo was Representative Director of Lombard Odier in Tokyo, a private bank headquartered in Switzerland. At Lombard Odier, Mitsuo also promoted ESG investment.

    Mitsuo joined Lombard Odier in Tokyo as a Senior Advisor in March 2014, and in July 2014 he was appointed as Representative Director of Lombard Odier in Tokyo. Before that, he worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) from 2006 as Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income and FX Management Department at the Tokyo office, became a Board member of GSAM Japan in 2007, and resigned in August 2013.

    Having joined Mitsui Life Insurance Co., Ltd. in April 1982, Mitsuo worked from 1986 in the International Investment Division of the International Department, London Office, and as Director of the Pension Management Division of the Special Account Management Department. In 1999 he was appointed as a Chief Fund Manager of the Mitsui Life Global Asset Management (MLG) Bond Group, responsible for both domestic and overseas fixed income, currencies, and asset allocation. In 2002, after a merger of five companies including MLG to form Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management, Mitsuo became Chief Investment Officer of the domestic and foreign fixed income division.

    Mr. Kojima holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Sophia University.
