UNU-IAS, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, and the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency will co-organize the Third National Youth Environmental Activity Presentation Contest.
To realize a sustainable society, each one of us should take action. As part of our responsibility to future generations, it is particularly important that youth be involved in considering solutions to global environmental problems. Youth have initiated many local environmental practices and actions. To further broaden and enhance such activities, opportunities to interact with other youth who share a similar vision are needed.
Taking this into account, the Third National Youth Environmental Activity Presentation Contest aims to provide an occasion for high school and university students to present their environmental activities and learn from one another. At this event, twelve high schools selected from across Japan will come together, and the schools that present the best practices will receive awards.
Please be aware that this event will be held in Japanese only, and no English interpretation will be provided. For more information about the programme, please see the Japanese event announcement on the UNU-IAS website.
