These final presentations are an opportunity for postdoctoral and PhD fellows who are leaving the UNU-IAS fellowship programmes to share their research activities and findings with colleagues and the general public.

On 6 June 2014, three UNU-IAS fellows will be giving final presentations on their research. Casey Stevens will be presenting on the ideas that have shaped the construction of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and on how they are likely to shape the final negotiations and early implementation of the SDGs. Csaba Pusztai will be talking about cities and climate change, looking at how different cities respond to environmental problems and climate change challenges at the local level. Mahendra Sethi will present on his research, which empirically co-relates national and global carbon footprints to local spatial transformations (such as urbanization) in order to examine the role of cities in global change.

The event will be in English only; Japanese interpretation will not be provided.
