Global Careers Dialogue with Toshio Arima

On 15 July 2022 UNU-IAS will host the first of a series of in-person events discussing global careers for students and young professionals. They will provide opportunities to meet and interact with international experts and policymakers, who will share their professional experience and perspectives on pursuing a global career.

This first Global Careers Dialogue will feature Toshio Arima (Chairman of the Board, Global Compact Network of Japan) and Kensuke Fukushi (Academic Programme Advisor, UNU-IAS). They will speak about their international career paths and introduce the activities of their respective organisations. The event will include an informal Q&A session with the audience.

After graduating from the College of Liberal Arts of International Christian University in 1967, Toshio Arima joined Fuji Xerox. He became President and Representative Director of Fuji Xerox in 2002. In 2007 he retired as President and was appointed Executive Advisor to the Board. In 2012 he retired from Fuji Xerox. He had served as a Board Member of the United Nations Global Compact from 2007 to June 2018. Since 2008 he has served as Chairman of the Board of Global Compact Network Japan.
