UNU-IAS will hold a reporting session, in which participants in the 2017 Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa (GLTP) will present the results of their field research.
GLTP, which has been implemented by UNU-IAS since 2013, is a training scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT), and designed to provide Japanese postgraduate students with opportunities to conduct field trips in Africa and work closely with supervisors from local universities.
In this fifth iteration of the programme, ten Japanese postgraduate students were selected and conducted field research under the supervision of host universities and institutes in eight African countries (Tanzania、Botswana、Senegal、Ghana、Kenya、South Africa、Uganda、and Zambia).
During this reporting session, participants will share their research outcomes and experiences with the public and the growing GLTP alumni network.
The event will be held in English only. No interpretation will be provided.
