UNU-IAS, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, and the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency will organize the National Youth Environmental Activity Presentation Contest on 14 February 2016.
To realize a sustainable society, each one of us needs to take action. It is particularly important for youth, who are responsible for future generations, to actively find solutions to global environmental problems. There are many local environmental practices initiated by the ingenuity and actions of youth. By sharing their experiences with each other, such practices by youth can be further broadened and enhanced.
The “National Youth Environmental Activity Presentation Contest” aims to provide an opportunity for high school students to present their environmental activities and learn from one another. At this event, 20 schools selected nationwide will come together, and the schools that present the best practices will receive awards.
Please note that this event will be held In Japanese only and no interpretation will be provided.
