UNU-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa Kanazawa (OUIK) will hold its next “Noto Satoumi Seminar” on 28 January 2021 from 19:00 – 21:15 JST. The topic will be about SDG 14.4 and 14.6 from the 10 goals of SDG 14, which are related to sustainable fisheries resource management, and to promote the appeal of Ishikawa’s rich fishery products and fisheries, and to think about the maintenance of fishery resources. The event will introduce topics and trends related to the recent decline in fish catches, both in Japan and abroad, as well as conservation efforts within and outside the region, and discuss what we can do to maintain our rich marine resources with experts from Japan and the Noto region.
