Springer Nature and UNU-IAS will co-organize the seminar Implementing Solutions for the SDGs: The Role of Sustainability Research with the support of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the University of Tokyo Integrated Research System for Sustainability Science (IR3S).
With insights from two of Springer Nature’s premier scientific journals (Nature Sustainability and Sustainability Science), the event seeks to highlight how sustainability research is contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will gather opinion leaders, and seek to identify best practices and lessons learned regarding the SDGs. The discussion will enable participants to develop a better understanding of the sustainability research landscape from both a global and local perspective. Speakers will bring their unique perspectives to bear on approaches and prospects, and reveal what they see as priorities, obstacles, and possible solutions.
The event is free and simultaneous interpretation will be provided. The seminar will be followed by a networking opportunity.
