    UNU-IAS will co-organise a webinar on the theme of Sustainable Lifestyles for a Green Recovery: COVID-19 and the SDGs, with Sophia University, the Ministry of the Environment Japan (MOEJ) and the Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC). This webinar will be held on 6 October 2020 from 19:00 – 20:30 (JST) and is part of the the Sophia University United Nations Weeks October 2020.

    The outbreak of COVID-19 has had serious economic, environmental, and social implications across the globe. Reflecting on such sudden and serious challenges, societies are shifting towards embracing the “new normal,” including fundamental changes to life, work, and interactions. The webinar will provide insights from various sectors on a way forward for a greener and more resilient society including lifestyle changes as well as generate discussions on how societies can build back better through individual and collective actions.
