UNU-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa Kanazawa (OUIK) will be hosting its next SDGs Café on the topic of ‘Inclusive Management and Sustainability’ on 24 February 2021 from 18:30 – 20:00.
The Kanazawa SDGs ‘5 courses of action’ situates the course 4 to ‘create a social climate for life-long learning and activity’ as one of the important elements to realise sustainable Kanazawa city. For these courses of action, it is crucial to create an inclusive working environment as well as examining the strengths of individuals in an organisation, even those with special needs.
The guest speakers for this event include Yumiko Hayashi, a low vision activist, and Junichi Okuyama (Visst Inc.), with discussions around employment support for those with special needs and how to create a decent working environment for all.
