UNU-IAS will host the 6^th World Parks Congress Report Back Seminar in close collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment of Japan to share outcomes and key messages from the Congress, and to discuss further the direction of research and policies on protected areas in Japan and abroad.

The World Parks Congress is a major international conference organized by IUCN every ten years. The latest Congress was held in Sydney, Australia, from 12–19 November 2014, bringing together over 6,000 people from 170 countries. The summary of the Congress is available here.
