    UNU-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan will organize the symposium Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Partnerships – The Global Agenda in the Future of Corporate Social Responsibility, in cooperation with the Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC) and Sustainable Development Solutions Network Japan (SDSN Japan) on 7 December 2015.

    The business sector is expected to contribute to the realization of the SDGs through partnerships with various stakeholders, including consumers. Corporations can promote transformation of consumers’ lifestyles by providing sustainable products and services. This symposium will discuss challenges that the business sector will encounter in their efforts towards achieving the SDGs, as well as the necessary role of multi-stakeholder partnerships to find solutions to these challenges.
