    To commemorate the tenth year anniversary of the UNU Alumni Association, UNU-IAS and jfUNU are co-organizing the UNU/jfUNU Junior Fellows Symposium to bring together alumni of all UNU educational programmes working in various professions all over the world and foster ties between them and the public as they discuss together issues and challenges for achieving a sustainable global society. In a keynote speech, Akiko Yuge, former Director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office in Tokyo, will address what is expected from the UN and Japan in order to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through presentation and poster sessions, UNU alumni will share their current research and activities. Each session will explore how the public can play an active role in addressing global issues.

    This symposium will be open to the public and held in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation provided.
