On 2 February 2018, UNU-IAS, Wetlands International Japan, and the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC), will co-organize a symposium to celebrate World Wetlands Day (WWD) 2018. The 2018 theme for WWD is “Wetlands for a sustainable urban future～Urban wetlands making cities livable～”. Celebrated every year on 2 February, WWD marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the same day in 1971.

Please be aware that this event will be held in Japanese only, and no English interpretation will be provided.
