This workshop will be held in May 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, as part of UNU-IAS’s project, the International Satoyama Initiative (ISI). It will be organised by UNU-IAS to discuss case studies for the Satoyama Initiative Thematic Review (SITR) Vol. 6. The exact dates and venue will be announced soon.
Please note that participation in this workshop is by invitation only.
The International Satoyama Initiative (ISI) project works to promote the Satoyama Initiative, a global effort to realise societies in harmony with nature through the revitalization and sustainable management of “socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes” (SEPLS) for biodiversity and human well-being. SEPLS are areas where human well-being and the ecosystem have a symbiotic relationship, each benefitting from the other.
