UNU-IAS and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) will co-organize the annual International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP), with a view to engaging the region’s key decision makers in substantive discussions about actionable approaches for realizing sustainable development. 2018 marks ISAP’s tenth year, and this year’s theme is Driving Transformative Actions
through Integrated and Innovative Approaches.
The event will again play host to a wide number of participants from Japan and around the world. ISAP is supported by many prominent national and international organizations, including UN agencies, regional networks, central and local governments, as well as other research institutes working in the development field. Director of the Stockholm Resilience Center, Johan Rockström, will speak during the first plenary session and also use the occasion to launch the Japanese translation of his latest book.
