Applications Open: E-Waste Academy in Shanghai

    UNU-IAS will hold the fifth E-Waste Academy – Scientists Edition (EWAS) on 1–7 November 2014 in Shanghai, China. Applications are invited from PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and early-career researchers investigating the political, social, economic, environmental, health or technological aspects of e-waste.

    EWAS aims to provide a platform for young scientists involved in e-waste related research to share their knowledge, interact with experts and develop collaborative partnerships, fostering cutting-edge research. The EWAS offer participants a diverse curriculum in an innovative framework supported by a range of teaching and learning approaches including lectures, workshops, participant presentations, group projects and study tours with an international interdisciplinary faculty and experienced facilitators.

    The fifth EWAS will be hosted by the Basel Convention Regional Centre China in Shanghai, in collaboration with the Shanghai Second Polytechnic University. EWAS is organized by the UNU-IAS unit in Germany, SCYCLE.

    The deadline for applications is 31 August 2014.
