Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa – Applications Open for Japanese Students

    Applications are now open for the UNU-IAS Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa. This programme aims to develop global leaders who can contribute to solving various challenges in Africa, and is offered to Japanese postgraduate students. Successful applicants will undertake internships at partners universities and research institutions in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Zambia. After gaining practical skills, knowledge and experience through their internships, participating students will present their experiences and lessons learned at a reporting workshop.

    Eligibility and Programme Duration

    Japanese postgraduate students at colleges or universities in Japan are eligible to participate in this programme. The programme duration is as follows:

    • 8 master’s degree students: 2–3 months
    • 2 doctoral degree students: 4–6 months

    Please note that this programme is only open to Japanese postgraduate students.
