UNU-IAS Researcher Contributes to UN Climate Change Assessment

    UNU-IAS Academic Programme Officer Riyanti Djalante has officially been selected as one of 721 experts from 90 countries to participate in the drafting of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the UN International Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The AR6 is designed to inform policymakers, international climate negotiators, and other stakeholders about the latest knowledge on all aspects of climate change. A final report is expected in April 2022.

    Djalante will contribute to Working Group II, which focuses on impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability. Along with UNU Senior Vice-Rector Taikan Oki and others, she is tasked to co-author a chapter on “Poverty, livelihoods and sustainable development”.
