Urbanization and Climate Co-Benefits: Implementation of win-win interventions in cities, a new book co-edited by UNU-IAS researcher Christopher Doll, was recently published as part of Routledge’s Advances in Climate Change Research series. The book presents the main opportunities and challenges to the implementation of environmental co-benefits (policies and strategies that simultaneously contribute to addressing climate change and solving local environmental problems) in urban areas. Drawing on empirical data from Brazil, China, Indonesia, India, and Japan, the book explores how urban development can be pursued while encouraging high levels of awareness and engagement on climate change.
