In March 2023 the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC) released a new issue of Tsunakan (Vol. 41), a journal focusing on global partnerships for the environment. GEOC is a joint initiative of UNU-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, which supports activities in various social sectors towards sustainability within and beyond Japan.

The “Global View” section of the publication featured an article by Himangana Gupta (Research Fellow and Academic Associate, UNU-IAS) outlining discussions at the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP27) and the 2022 UN Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP15) on integrated solutions for climate and biodiversity. It also introduces the activities of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) focused on achieving a nature-positive society.
