Tsunakan Journal Explores Transformative Change for Society in Harmony with Nature

    In March 2021, the UNU-IAS Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC) project released a special edition of the Tsunakan Journal Volume 37. This special edition featured an article contributed by Makiko Yanagiya (Programme Coordinator, UNU-IAS) on the topic of “Transformative Change for Societies in Harmony with Nature – The Satoyama Initiative and Convention on Biological Diversity”.

    The journal is a major output of GEOC, a special project Tsunakan provides a unique perspective on environmental partnerships to achieve a sustainable society and this volume discusses ways to redesign our economic and social systems while ensuring biodiversity conservation.
