    Biographical Statement

    Jian Pu is a Research Fellow and Academic Associate for the Water and Resource Management Project at UNU-IAS. Prior to joining UNU-IAS, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at Yamagata University, Toyo University, and The University of Tokyo. Dr Pu’s research interests focus on water environment, pollution remediation, environmental resources, and sustainability science. As of April 2022, she has published 27 peer-reviewed papers and two book chapters in journals including Science of The Total Environment, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Membrane Science, Environmental Pollution, International Journal of Food Microbiology, Pathogens, and Food and Environmental Virology. She is currently engaged in several research projects related to water quality and microplastics. The total funding amount she has received is approximately USD 142,000 as principal investigator (PI), and approximately USD 680,000 as a co-PI.
