    Biographical Statement

    Dr. Jiaqi Liu is a JSPS-UNU Postdoctoral Fellow at UNU-IAS and The University of Tokyo. He has been working on coastal hydrogeology, hydrological modeling, and water resources management. His Ph.D. thesis studied tsunami-induced seawater intrusion to groundwater resources in coastal zones using numerical modeling approaches. During the fellowship period, he is conducting a research project on environmental assessments of aquifer storage and recovery for decentralized wastewater management. This project is expected to add a new angle of reusing wastewater for environmental engineering designs.
