Ty Bou is a Senior ICT Systems Engineer at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS). He is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of the entire ICT system of the institute. In particular, he oversees and manages ICT resources of the institute, provides technical support to the UNU-IAS user community, and serves as an interface between IT-related scholarly activities and the UNU Campus Computing Centre.
Before joining UNU-IAS, Ty Bou worked as a systems engineer in Japan for over 10 years involved in the development of various large industrial systems for CANON and NTT, among other companies. Prior to that, he provided services related to computer systems, including systems administration and consultation for governments and international organizations in Cambodia such as Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) in Cambodia.
